If I stop using Tugain after 3-4 months?

I met a dermatologist for hair fall issue and thinning of hair. He prescribed androanagen tablet for 3 months, Tugain 5 solution to be applied on thinning hair and scalpe shampoo to be used once a week. It says Tugain should be used for minimum 3-4 months, where thin hair will fall off and new hair will grow.
