Lasik eye surgery was not advised for me due to cornea thickness issue. ICL was suggested to me as a good option. I would like to know if it is a good option? Does it have any side effects in long term. Also, I would like to know differences between lens type used for ICL (Indian vs Imported).

Icl is a good option for you and imported lenses have got better compatable materials and well dezigned .prefef a icl with hole for proper aqueous flow which reduces poat operative complications.
So far hardly any complications after this lens being used for 15 years and new lens designs avoid many complications.
Expected complications are post operative endophthalmitis , glaucoma , rotation of axis if it's toric lens for astigmatism..., post traumatic injuries it might pop out . And cataract formation if it touches repeatedly the crystaline lens behind. Amd all these are very rare.
Next Steps
You should choose e pert icl Surgeon
