IBS-D what specialist do I need to see?
I have had IBS-D for years now, I was diagnosed by a gastroenterologist. He prescribed many pills to treat/decrease symptoms. What type of specialist would I see to find cause of my IBS-D, and cure it??? Someone who checks stomach flora, and does allergy testing for foods. Not just masking symptoms to the problem. Is there a specialist for that?

I can understand your concern.
IBS stands for irritable bowel syndrome and what treatment he gave is the only treatment available for it.
Controlling the symptoms is the only thing to do in it.
And gastroenterologist is the best person to treat this type of disorder.
If you know more, then by all means go ahead and treat yourself.
