My sisiter is suffering from COVID. On 31st May night she started getting symptoms.Started cold cough then headache then she got bodypain fever lower abdomen pain also for few hours. She had fever for 3 days it used to come and go and maximum fever was 100.7.
From 4th she is not having fever.
on 6th when she measure it was 98°,her oxigen level is 99.
But she is constently have khashi.
We havent started fabiflu yet as we did a ct scan on 3rd june and the reports were normal with 5% lung involvement and 17 crp level.
We consulted a doctor he said there is no need of fabiflu as you have mild.
Hence i want suggestion on whether should we start giving her fabflu because she is having content cough but she throws out her mucus.
Any suggestion please it would really be helpfull.

Symptomatic management:
1. Hydration. Patient should have at least 4 to 6 glasses of water everyday.
2. Anti-pyretics can be given under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
3. Multivitamins and Zinc can be given.
4. Stay in contact with treating physician.
5. Monitor temperature and oxygen saturation (by applying a SpO2 probe to fingers).
Seek immediate medical attention if:
1. Difficulty in breathing
2. High grade fever/severe cough, particularly if lasting for more than five days
3. Consider hospital admission if:
1. Age more than 60 years.
2. Cardiovascular disease, hypertension.
3. Any lung disease
4. Any kidney/liver disease
5. History of stroke or any brain disease.
6. Obesity.
Next Steps
No need to start favipiravir (faviflu) currently, as it is mild disease.

U need steroid inhalers/oral short course of steroid as u are having persistent cough for more than 7 days according to the current guidelines. Steroid inhalers have shown good response but they should be taken after doctors Consultation only
Fabiflu has no role/effect if started beyond 4th day
