I wanna abort my child
Am having
Fluoxitine 20 mg morning
Sodium valporate 500 mg night
Vitamin b complex morning
Clozapine 100 mg night
Aripiprazole 10 mg night
Trihexiphenidyl 2 mg morning
Clonazepam 1 mg night
These tablets daily... I wanna abort my baby as am taking sodium valporate n all which ll affect my baby's development and all... But for medical abortion, it shows negative results in Google... My question is can't I abort my baby by medical abortion??? I mean by putting 'unwanted kit' tablet??
Please reply frens.. am waiting for your response.. my baby's growth is 5 weeks...

Being stable on medication during pregnancy is more important than the risk of relapse during pregnancy. The drugs you have mentioned may or may not affect the growth of the child. So take an informed decision with the help of your psychiatrist and gynecologist.

At around 5 weeks of pregnancy, medical abortion may be an option, but please do not take an “unwanted kit” on your own, especially while taking multiple psychiatric medicines.
Sodium valproate can increase the risk of fetal abnormalities, but this does not automatically mean that termination is mandatory. Please consult a gynecologist urgently to confirm the pregnancy location and gestational age and discuss the safest option. Also speak to your psychiatrist before stopping or changing any psychiatric medicine, as sudden discontinuation can be harmful.

Please stop Googling and consult your gynecologist and psychiatrist urgently. Since you are 5 weeks pregnant and taking valproate, this situation requires proper medical assessment and discussion of the available options.
Please do not attempt to terminate the pregnancy on your own or take MTP medicines without medical evaluation and supervision. In India, medical termination of pregnancy is regulated under the MTP Act and medical methods of abortion are to be prescribed by an appropriately qualified Registered Medical Practitioner.
Valproate is associated with significant risks to the developing fetus, so your pregnancy and medication need to be reviewed promptly by your gynecologist and psychiatrist. However, do not stop or change valproate on your own; this should be decided with your treating specialist.

Don't panic and don't take any rash decisions. Firstly we need to understand why you are not these tablets. For taking any decision you need to understand both the risk and benefit. Taking valproate does not mean that your baby' developement will be definitely affected. Its a risk for which we should monitor.

Dear mam,
With the above mentioned medications and current pregnant state i am able to understand your state of mind.
You are correct in saying that the medications can affect the growth fetus. But not every side effect is fool proof. Some babies do not get affected also.
Before taking a decision on your own, it is wise to consult a gynaecologist and psychiatrist, wait for a few more weeks take an anomaly scan and then proceed with a decision. Also we still have time to change your medications based on your symptoms
