Warts are caused by a virus (human papilloma virus) which enters skin and starts accumulating dead skin. Using podowart on face is not safe as it can cause marks and scars which may be permanent.Best method to remove warts on face is radio-frequency or electrocautery ( where heat is produced to destroy warts). With this method the damage to normal skin is minimal and no spots or scars are left after removal of warts. Also the heat produced while destroying warts helps in killing the virus, thereby reducing the chances of recurrence. Rarely warts can come back and to prevent recurrence, antiviral regimen is prescribed for 6-8 weeks.
Next Steps
Consult qualified dermatologist who will identify the type of Wart and decide the removal technique.
Health Tips
Avoid touching warts or shaving that part as it can easily spread to other areas and also bleeds easily.
