When I was 16 y/o I had not attained menarche even then, hence my mother consulted a gynae who then prescribed me a drug to be taken for five days twice a day to induce my periods. After that I never got my periods on my own, hence I consulted to another gynae who diagnosed me with PCOS. After being diagnosed with PCOS I have been caught in this viscous cycle of not having my periods unless I take the medicine. I have a history of being obese while I was an adolescent while my mother is diabetic ; throughout the years I have adapted to all the healthy lifestyle changes that one should be doing to treat my condition. Currently I weigh 67 kgs and I am 5'6; My question is, is it because I haven't ever reached my ideal weight of 50-52 kgs that I don't get the periods on their own? (My BMI Falls under the normal range though) and does not achieving menarche naturally is a thing to worry about? Also will I ever be able to get my periods naturally?
