If this has occurred following unprotected intercourse you need to consult a doctor specialising in skin and DVD. You will sometimes need additional tests before treatment. If you also have fever or lumps in the groin an ultrasonography may be requested. You should get screened for other sexually transmitted infections too. Your doctor will advise after examining you.
