I have P I D and I had laparoscopic treatment. Is this disease cured or are there chances of it coming back.
Does PID happen due to sexual transmitted infection or can this disease happen even without having sex.
If I have PID due to STI, then am I still infected. Since fluid had formed in my fallopian tube and adhesion had also occurred. The doctor treated me through laproscopy and also gave me antibiotic medicine.
My question is how will I know whether I am infected or not .

It can occasionally happen with poor personal hygiene or infected toilets. The infection may be cured with the antibiotic presently but it can't prevent recurrence.
