Hello, I can empathize with you as per description provided...the treatment of Histrionic PD IS Psychotherapy...But proper assessment will be required to reach a diagnosis (whether overlapping of personality traits or comorbid depression etc is present )...also medications might be required for associated depression/ anxiety etc...But Most Important take help of a psychiatrist or Psychologist for the same...You can convey your concern of financial issues and confidentiality at the outset..But let me tell you that your therapist will not be able to do MAGIC in one or two visits ..It will be a cooperative therapeutic relationship to road to recovery...
