If you follow the precautions advised by the dentist, all your symptoms would subside soon.
Addressing your concern about teaching the very next day... After bone cutting the patient usually has swelling on the face that appears after 24-48hrs of surgery, which is a normal phenomena. Apart from that all would be fine, if the decayed tooth comes out easily and it is a non traumatic extraction.
