You being diabetic with uncontrolled blood sugars even your kidneys may not be normal and may not be of much help to the recipient in long run. Your own sugar levels are very high for young diabetic. Young diabetic patients are at a high risk of complications simply because they have to spend a long life with diabetes. The sugar control should be very tight HbA1C of less than 6.5 % Also there are over 50 types of diabetes and a young diabetic can be having any of those unusual types. A proper diagnosis is must so as to have the right treatment. Choice of drugs also has to be made properly so as to preserve beta cells. Wrong drug might control sugars for short term but may lead to oral tablet failure soon. I would suggest that you take care of your diabetes well.
