If you are in contact with a Tb pt,you may get Tb, when the pt is sputum positive only.if the pt is on Anti Tb treatment, there is less likely hood of contracting Tb.if you are in contact with tb pt in 2017,there  are least chances of getting tb now. However,in india, there are many tb pts,we may get Tb, by any source. Actually most of the Indians, will have Tb bacilli in them, and it will manifest to disease only when the immunity goes down. You may be having allergy. But cough more than,3 weeks, pl do sputum for Afb,and xray chest, pa view, and revert back with reports. I am in contact with Tb pts,since,40 years, daily. I did not get Tb till now, because of my immunity. So need not worry. Pl consult Pulmonologist online with all the reports and treatment taken.
