Sudden changes like fixed fearful beliefs, disturbed sleep, seeing or sensing things that others don’t, confused behaviour, and suicidal thoughts usually mean the mind is under acute psychological distress. When this happens quickly, it is less about willpower or family support alone, and more about the brain temporarily losing its ability to judge reality clearly. This can happen even in people who were well for many years.
What you are describing is serious but treatable, and your concern is very appropriate.
Next Steps
At this stage, the safest way forward usually involves:
- Getting an urgent, in-person psychiatric evaluation. When symptoms include poor sleep, strong fear-based beliefs, and suicidal behaviour, close monitoring becomes important.
- Understanding that hospitalisation is not a punishment. It is often recommended when safety, sleep, and medication response need to be stabilised in a protected setting.
- Seeking a second opinion from another psychiatrist if you are unsure — this is reasonable and common, but it should still be done urgently and preferably face to face.
- Ensuring she is not left alone, and that family members are aligned on prioritising safety over comfort or stigma.
- Involving a mental health professional such as a therapist, who can help with emotional containment, reduce fear and agitation, support the family, and assist in recovery once the acute phase settles

You are carrying a heavy responsibility, and it’s understandable to feel unsure. yes you can consult online. it's nice you want to take care of her at home. sometimes it's better to hospitalized.
seems prescription is good. medications need some time to act/show effect. sleep may improve suddenly. Dosage increment depends on symptom improvement.

Hey, I understand this must be very stressful situation for you. I can see from her prescription that her BP was recorded high and the onset of symptoms are sudden. It's better to get some investigations done and also to visit the psychiatrist.
As her condition looks a little severe here, it's better to get her hospitalized for initial few days.
I know, it's hard time but with right medications and timely help she will recover.
Hello.
She is suffering from a kind of psychiatric illness. Whatever medications are being given they are more than required in number. Need to adjust the number and doses of medications.
Please Consult online or in person for a second opinion.
Will decide if she requires admission after getting to know the details.
Thank you
Please take opinion in personal meet, offline, avoid online, please start treatment as there is also time limited prognosis, untreated psychosis can have low response later
• Hospitalization is strongly recommended at this stage.
• Sudden symptoms at this age need close monitoring, investigations, and medication adjustment, which cannot be done safely at home.
• Online consultations are not sufficient for this severity.
• Short-term admission (a few days) helps with safety, sleep restoration, diagnosis, and faster stabilization.
• With timely treatment, recovery is very much possible.
Home care is appropriate only after symptoms are controlled and risk reduces.
Right now, safety and stabilization come first.
