Please Advice
So 4 weeks back I accidentally slapped my self on the ears, not that hard but mildly. Following it I had a constant ringing sound 'eeeee', went to two ENTs and also did audiometry and tympanometry test, both came as positive with no hearing damage and no damage to inner ear structure. Also went to neurologist to check is there auditory nerve was damaged or not, and it wasn't, everything is fine, no damage to any part of the ear. My tinnitus for the past 4 weeks have reduced in intensity and loudness, fluctuating sometimes. All the doctor assured that it will go away on its own and it is bcz of minor nerve irritation nothing more. But I am really worried and had multiple breakdowns that this is temporary right? I have seen improvements but I am really scared. I am really anxious for the past 4 weeks that will this fade.

Hi sir
Hope you are doing fine. Need to clarify few things.
1) Did you slap both the ears? And you have ringing in both ears?
2) How’s the ringing continuous through out the day , any recent stress?
3) Did you do high frequency audiogram? If not since you are so much concerned you can go ahead with a high frequency audiogram
Tinnitus subsides usually overtime. What we suggest is tinnitus retraining therapy if all other causes have been ruled out. The more you concentrate on the ringing mire it’s reinforced. So when you hear the ringing distract yourself by concentration on other back ground sound or music
Hope this finds you in good health
Next Steps
If you are worried so much kindly go ahead and do a high frequency audiogram.
Ringing will stop if the cause is as u described in the history
Take MVI to enhance the process
Stay away from it to get rid of it
Not to concentrate on it
