Hypothyroidism
In Aug'15 TSH was 8.47, whereas T3 & T4 were normal. Anti TPO was 63.20 U/mL. Started medicine 'Thynorm 25 mcg' on 9th Sep'15. On 25th Nov'15 TSH dropped to 1.51. Continued Thynorm 25 mcg. And on 25th Jun'16 TSH is again detected high at 9.32. Now family physician suggested increase Thyronorm dose by 12.5 mcg. Will it be OK. Please advise.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. There is a need to increase the dose of your thyroxine. But its better if you get your self checked by a endocrinologist in person before you increase the dose by yourself. Getting a endocrinologist's opinion will be a smart thing to do and then do as he suggests. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Balaji clinic. Bangalore.
