Hello, My TSH is  16.5 ml. Is it very high? What should I do for that. Will it have any severe effect on my health. Please guide. Thanks.

You TSH shows hypothyroidism. Whenever TSH is above 10, thyroid hormone replacement is recommended. Hypothyroidism can cause symptoms as well as increase in cholesterol levels and slow heart rate if left untreated. Thyroid antibodies levels should be checked to determine cause of elevated tsh
