Asked for Male, 21 Years

Hello Doc, Recently i diagnosed for Thyroid disorder and it comes with high TSH value ( I think Hypothroidism ). My TSH value is 7.51 uIU/ ml ,which is above reference range. Can you please suggest ways to control it & food to eat in this.

Raised TSH values only indicate increased pituitary stimulation of the Thyroid gland. This means that there is a net hyposecretion of Thyroxin by your thyroid. This can be seen in many diseases! You will need to get a full Thyroid evaluation ( including FT3, FT4, Anti-thyroid antibodies, Thyroid peroxidase and an ultrasound examination of the Thyroid) to reach an exact diagnosis. These hormonal studies must be done after 12 hours fasting and at an NABL certified Laboratory (for Indian patients)
