Why is it necessary to do the ECG test before taking thyronorm medicine? My mom has hypothyroid and her ECG is also abnormal. Is it safe to continue these tablets?

Hello, it is necessary to have pretreatment ecg to start thyronorm tablets. If there is problem with heart (either in ECG or ecocardiogram) before starting treatment in hypothyroidism, dose of the thyronorm to be adjusted depending on the problem detected not need to stop the treatment other wise it will worsens heart condition.
