Hyperventilation
Have been feeling difficulty in breathing when sudden attack happens. Been to 3 doctors, all said it's a syndrome because of stress but I am not convinced because it is triggered very randomly. Or maybe it was because of stress earlier but now it has got worse. So I need to understand what exactly should I get checked

If all three doctors are on same diagnosis then it could be anxiety disorder only. But firstly you have to go for certain tests so that all other causes can be ruled out like x ray chest, spirometry, ECG etc

I wl advice you to go under complete cardiac and pulmonary checkup ...once every pathology ruled out then it can be labelled as hyperventilation syndrome which is stress induced.

Need more details on when it happens, what precipitates and how it subsides to be sure If you're sure it is not stress related and want to confirm you'll need to do tests. If you want to get checked you need to do a chest xray and a pulmonary function test.
