Hyper Thyroid
Hi I have hypo thyroid since past 15 months and I am on medication of thyrox tablets, though it is in control most of the times as I have been monitoring with every 8 weeks of TSH performed but I am interested of knowing if there are ways of controlling thyroid through prescribed diets or other such things which one could do to maintain it

Hello.....,hypothyroidism is due to decreased thyroxin harmone. It s commonly associated with weight gain and irregular period..... One need to take medications regularly.. Its long term problem..you should limit their intake of broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, , turnips,......No specific diet to hypothyroidism as such.. But I think you should increase dose if it's not under control. Consult general physician.
