U have developed  lots of misconceptions regarding herpes simplex ,,, the positive test in ur case simply means u have encountered genital herpes some time past in ur life and have developed antibodies for it.....rest is all myth and falsehood...ur body has developed  antibodies for genital herpes(HSVII) ,,Have a sought of protection for it...
