Hsv1 igg positive and igm negative
Hi Doctor
I had twice lip sore and initially I thought it was due to canker sore due to dryness but later I had some tingling feeling so got tested for hsv1 and it showed igg positive with value 1580 au/ml and igm negative. Now I am afraid that I might transmit to family members. Is there any treatment and I heard about suppressive therapy and will it help in reducing the transmission through shedding.
I am not sure how I got infected by this Hsv 1 virus and will it cause major health issues?
