How to treat diastasis recti?
I have diastasis recti. Even 4 years after delivery. What should I do? I feel it's worsening...whom should I consult. Is it too late to reverse the condition?

Hello, you can start with pelvic floor exercises and core strengthening.

Start with kegels and some pelvic floor exercises which will correct your diastasis and if there any pelvis dysfunction it will also get corrected.

You should do core strengthening exercises with proper guidance. You have to continue the exercises for 1 year to get  best results.

For daistasis recti, you need to work on transfers abdominus muscle. You need to learn how to do isometric contraction of that particular muscle. 10 to 15 reps twice to trice a day would work Hold that contraction for 7 to 10 seconds.

Although its late but dont worry, it can be treated through physiotherapy and neuromuscular electrical stimulation and exercise therapy depending on the condition at present. Visit nearby physiotherapy clinic for proper assessment and treatment which can suggested through physical diagnosis only.

There is always hope. Keep continue strengthening exercises and if your body weight heavy then consult with dietician and all exercises should be done under supervision of qualified physiotherapist. Keep patience don't expect magic. You have hard work for that.
