Can i get a urine culture and sensitivity test done.. Even while i am on medication? Eg: doxycycline 100mg od for 14days..adviced for vaginal infection before experiencing uti symptoms Or will the medicine affect my report? Experiencing.. Urge to urinate. Burning sensation after urination.. Itching. Wired tingling sensation in vagina during and post urination Just want to know taking the drug now will have effect on report.. If so..what to do? Should i stop medication and go for urine test?

Finish the antibiotic course. If your symptoms are not relieved you can do a urine routine test. Urine culture can be donenif required. It's better to consult and do these tests.

Yes u can take the tests on antibiotics but it's result can be affected. But better to take urine routine and urine culture test as u are having clear cut urinary symptoms. If symptoms are there on tab doxycycline then it means your urinary infection bacteria is resistant to it. So better to go for test and change or add different antibiotics. Consultation required
