How to know if I have ADHD or something
I just want to know if these symptoms are genuinely for adhd only or is it common for everyone. I've always been told I'm "lost" This is the most common thing I've heard about myself. People find me "weird" Or too "distracted" Or in a dream land. It often effects my work as it's difficult for me to keep track of things. I am forgetful and forget basic things as well. Is it adhd or something else. Or is it normal?

Being distracted and looking lost can also be symptoms of mood disorders. It feels like you may have been feeling like this for a while. If so, it isn’t uncommon for people to ignore this as laziness or carelessness. Whether the symptoms you experience are related to mood disorders or ADHD or, both- needs to be confirmed through a full psychiatric evaluation. This is will also facilitate the right treatment options for you to consider.

Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every case . In addition, a detailed mental status examination is also recommended for every case to come to a diagnosis and management accordingly.
Next Steps
As per your description , some of the symptoms have been mentioned but the details are to be explored. It’s to understand, have the problems started after any stressful event? How long the problems exists? How was your academic performance in the school? What’s the type of personality you are? What kind of thoughts are you having when you are “lost”? A detailed work up is needed. You need some of the investigations done. You may need medications and/ or psychological interventions/ life style modification accordingly.
Health Tips
Take adequate sleep. Do Yoga exercises. Do some aerobic exercises. Have a balanced diet plan. Be positive in your thoughts. Consult a mental health professional for a detailed work up and the management accordingly.
