How to improve retina
Hi Dr , I have a high myopia of glasses no. -17D and -10.5 D and its a progressive myopia , how to improve retina health , is there any exercise , drops , diet or tablets supplements anything to improve retina health

Avoid taking so much mental stress Stress has adverse effects on your entire body including your eyes. To maintain your retinal health, eat nutritious diet, and follow an overall active life style

Pl take leafy vegetables, fish and eggs. Pl avoid weight lifting, and heavy exercises. Pl consult ophthalmologist regularly. Avoud more screen time.

Lutein, zeaxanthin are part of the carotenoid family of antioxidants . They  are found in the cells of many types of plants and human retina. these nutrients may help: suppress inflammation defend against free radicals and oxidative stress enhance the sharpness of your vision improve your visual contrast sensitivity reduce glare impairment protect eye tissue from sunlight damage reduce cell loss and death related to eye disease protect your eyes from harmful blue light. But It will not reduce your glass power It may help to maintain the power The highest amount of dietary lutein is found in leafy green vegetables, such as: spinach broccoli lettuce parsley basil leeks peas With that outdoor activities and decreasing the duration of near work like digital devices have been reported very helpful. And monthly follow up is needed for thorough slit lamp examination and glass power and compliance and any retina complications
