Hello, number of days can't be determined in case of any therapeutic modality. However it is advisable to seek proper professional help when it comes to mental health issues such as depression.  There are several people who claim to be hypnotherapist through some certification however lack proper knowledge of clinical psychology. So chose your therapist wisely by making sure the person holds a degree in clinical psychology apart from being trained in hypnotherapy. While hypnotherapy can help in overcoming emotional issues, one first needs to determine the severity of depression, based on which sometimes medication may also be required for which you need to see a psychiatrist as well.
Next Steps
consult a clinical psychologist trained in hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis may not help if it is biological depression. It depends what is the origin of your depression. Cognitive behavior therapy helps but one has to be regular with weekly sessions for 2-3 months. Also would recommend you see someone with clinical experience as in India anyone can practice counselling. There are no board certifying exams for psychologists like abroad. Hypnosis is just deep relaxation. Try some on YouTube first to see if they help. Otherwise don't ignore your depression. Like we don't ignore if we have fever for a week .

Every person is different and each one has a unique recovery time . You you cannot count recovery in days . Once you start working on your problem, results will be seen gradually.
