How are kidney stone stents removed?
Hi I am 38 years old male recently diagnosed with Kidney Stones. The surgeons say the stone is big in size and will require a surgery for it's removal. They have suggested for insertion of stent. Kindly guide how is stent helpful for the removal of kidney stones? And also suggest if there are any side effects?

Stent improves obstruction in the passage of urine and by passive dilatation of kidney tubes (ureter) passing to bladder ,may help in stone retrieval
