A cyst behind the ear could be a sebaceous or epidermoid cyst. Applying a hot towel may increase blood flow and cause temporary swelling or inflammation. Avoid pressing or massaging it. If it becomes painful, red, or increases in size, it may be infected and needs treatment. Please consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and management. Minor procedures may be needed if it persists.
