Hormonal acne on Birth Control?

Hello, I got on progestin only birth control almost a year ago but soon after getting on it I was having hormonal acne pop up on my chin. I have been on acne medicine for several years so when I went to one of my appointments she prescribed me spironolactone to help with that. I just thought that being on birth control would help my acne but I didn't know if it was the birth control that was giving me the hormonal acne or if it was just by coincidence that the hormonal acne started up after I ha
