Hoarseness and breathlessness
37-year-old female. Since Dec/Jan, I’ve had a persistent dry nocturnal cough that often woke me from sleep, with intermittent mild air hunger. In 2025, I also had persistent hoarseness for ~2 months, which resolved on its own. In May 2026, I consulted an ENT for cough/air hunger and was referred to a pulmonologist. Pulmonologist suspected cough variant asthma and started Foracort 400. Investigations: Spirometry/PFT normal (FEV1 normal), FeNO 17 ppb, IgE normal, chest imaging normal. Since a viral illness in June, I’ve had persistent hoarseness. Cough improves with Foracort, and my voice becomes temporarily clearer for a few hours after each dose, but the hoarseness does not improve overall and becomes severe again between doses, especially if I miss a dose. Sometimes I have voice fatigue and mild breathlessness while speaking. Could this still be CVA, or should I be evaluated for vocal cord pathology/laryngoscopy or LPR/reflux? Should I continue the inhaler unchanged?

Better if you get a laryngoscopy done and also check for sinusitis with X-ray PNS. Give voice rest and do steam inhalation Avoid anything cold If all of them are normal. Get CT chest and neck done, to know the exact reason
