Why the Value is 0.262 (Is it high?): No, this value is NOT high. Fourth-generation ECLIA/ELISA tests use an index/signal-to-cutoff ratio (S/CO). Any value below 1.00 is non-reactive (negative). A score of 0.262 simply represents normal baseline optical background noise in the machine. It does not mean you have "a little bit of virus" or "26% of HIV."
