Your HIV Duo CLIA (Antigen & Antibodies) tests at 17, 25, 30, and 38 days all came negative, which is a very reassuring sign. The HIV Duo test is highly accurate after 28 days and almost conclusive after 6 weeks (42 days). To be 100% conclusive, some guidelines recommend testing again at 6 weeks or 3 months (90 days), but your repeated negative results strongly indicate that you are not infected.
Possible Reasons for Loose Stools & Stomach Pain
1. Post-Antibiotic Gut Imbalance – Antibiotics can disturb gut flora, leading to prolonged loose stools. Consider probiotics, a BRAT diet (banana, rice, applesauce, toast), and fiber-rich foods.
2. Gastrointestinal Infection or IBS – Some infections or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can trigger persistent soft stools. A stool test may help identify any lingering infections.
3. Stress & Anxiety – Fear of infection and overthinking can impact digestion. Try relaxation techniques, meditation, or therapy to reduce anxiety.
What to Do Next?
Wait till 6 weeks (42 days) and repeat the HIV Duo test if you need complete peace of mind.
Consult a gastroenterologist if your stomach issues persist—tests like stool culture or colonoscopy may be required.
Take probiotics & maintain hydration to restore gut health.
There is no strong evidence that your symptoms are related to HIV, especially with multiple negative tests. It’s likely a gut infection or stress-related issue.
