HIV phobia
My risky sexual exposure was on 24/03/2020. I got fear of hiv infection and I did my HIV ELISA test. First time I did my HIV ELISA test was on 73rd day (05/06/2020) from last risky exposure which came negative. Second time I did my HIV ELISA test after 120 days (23/07/2020) from last risky exposure which came negative again. Now I feel very anxious fear about HIV infection. Is my test result conclusive ? Can I leave a happy peaceful life without the fear of hiv infection ?

Hello. Good morning. I saw ur reports & understood ur concern. I would like to focus on few issues. 1.  Ur risky sexual behaviour . 2.  Your fear for infection. 3.  Impact of fear. 4.  Are u really reassured?? 1. Ur risky sexual behaviour ??      How do you know it was " risky" . Is ur sexual partner was HIV positive. Is use of condom was avoided. Is any blood contact happened . Were you under influence of any alcohol, cannabis or any substance while intercourse or anything else. All these issues must be cleared. 2. Your fear of infection .      To understand the relevance of ur fear, it is important to know ur knowledge ,myths & misconceptions about HIV infection, also know ur source of knowledge. Is ur fear is appropriate , justified or it is unnecessary , irrational and out of proportion . All these things can solely be determined by discussing the " ORIGIN ,MODE & COURSE " for the " IDEA /FEAR of HIV infection". 3. Impact of fear.     If the fear is influencing ur day to day life activities , altering ur concentration, sleep, thoughts, mood, emotions , behaviour , sexual life ,appetite , bowel , Social life & personality, then this is not a normal condition. U need an intervention. 4. Are you really reassured ??     This is very important to ask urself, already u have mentioned ur two reports , you have seeked our knowledge over practo, by the time u must have searched Everything in internet regarding the same, apart from this you may have talked  or planning to talk to  few more doctors & undergo few more test. Is this all looks normal. Is a reassurance by a single doctor is not enough to you. Why all this happening to you. All these questions needs answers. Report may be conclusive for now but ur Mind state of peace is undoubtedly SHATTERED. You feel anxious , exceccive worry and it's spoils ur every moment .This is an unhealthy condition. Anyhow , don't be scared regarding ur reports ,for now they are negative but if the" fear of infection " still haunts you , Consult a Psychiatrist.
Next Steps
Consult a( Psychiatrist or Neuropsychiatrist both are same) of ur choice and discuss all the above four issue that I have mentioned above ,in detail. Don't be in a fearful state most of time ,it will start other problems in ur body. Your fear & thereby altered mood, emotion & behaviour needs a medical attention.
Health Tips
Don't Google anything on internet, it will scare you and misguide you. Do meditation for min of 20 mins daily. Take a sleep of 7 to 8 hrs daily. Take a balanced diet. Take care. ** Have a safe peaceful day **
