Hello.
I took PEP for HIV 58 hours after a high risk HIV exposure. I took the medication for 4 days consistently. Then I had 2, 38 hour gaps consecutively (with a dose in the middle of these gaps). I then continued to take the medication consistently until the end of the course.
I was taking TEEVIR (TDF, embricitabine and efavirenz).
I have taken a p24 antigen test the day after finishing PEP and it was negative. But I know there is still a chance I turn positive due to the poor adherence.
How likely is it that PEP failed?
Any help is appreciated :)
