High resistance and diastolic flow
My wife is 9 (33 weeks completed) months pregnant and we taking routine Doppler scan every week. Baby weight calculated in scan is 1.5kg. In scan now it was mentioned increased diastolic flow in middle cerebral artery and high resistance in utirine both arteries.
Please help to understand these blood flow will cause issues.. what should we do. Any issues with baby birth. Kindly tell us

Hello..
Baby weight of 1.5 kg at 33 weeks is less than 10 percentile for this gestational age of the baby and on the basis of estimated fetal weight, its diagnosed as IUGR ..
In simple language as per doppler findings, the blood supply to the baby is little compromised..
This pregnancy requires close intense monitoring with USG & NST , also the mother needs to keep track of fetal movements,
Antenatal corticosteroids should be given as the pregnancy may require early termination.
