High fever
Hello Sir, I have been a past patient of yours (pharyngitis/manit student) since I am unable to visit clinic I am asking question on practo. I have been having high fever, shivering, headache and body weakness for 2 days, I have been taking fenak plus tablet which cause sweating and gives temporary relief for 3-4 hours but fever returns with headache. Is it flu or viral fever? I am supposed to travel internationally after 8 days when can I expect recovery?

Oh i would advice to take course of antibiotics antihistamminic antiinflamatory etc for 5 days

Since you have a high grade fever with shivering you must rule out a few factors, I would advise you to visit the ER so that you're physically evaluated and undergo investigations such as CBC, peripheral smear, Dengue IgM, Lepto IgM, etc to find the underlying cause and have it treated accordingly.
