Presently no medication needed. You have to maintain dietary restrictions and regular exercise. Focus on a heart-healthy diet. Increase fiber intake with foods like oats, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Opt for healthy fats found in olive oil, nuts, avocados, and fatty fish, while avoiding saturated fats and trans fats from red meat, butter, and fried foods. Reduce refined carbs and sugary foods like white bread and sweets. Incorporate omega-3-rich foods such as salmon, flaxseeds, and walnuts. Along with that, avoid alcohol, continue regular physical activity, like walking or swimming.

Based on the cholesterol readings you provided, here’s a breakdown of your levels: 1. Total Cholesterol: 209 mg/dL - This is slightly above the recommended level of less than 200 mg/dL. 2. HDL (Good Cholesterol): 33.7 mg/dL - Ideally, this should be above 40 mg/dL for men. A low HDL level can increase the risk of heart disease. 3. LDL (Bad Cholesterol): 142.4 mg/dL - This is higher than the optimal level of less than 100 mg/dL. 4. Triglycerides: 164.7 mg/dL - Normal levels should be less than 150 mg/dL. 5. VLDL: 32.9 mg/dL - This is also considered high as it should ideally be between 5 to 40 mg/dL. 6. LDL/HDL Ratio: 4.2 - A ratio above 3.5 can indicate a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. These levels suggest that you may be at an increased risk for heart disease. Lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, are often recommended, and medication may be necessary based on a full evaluation of your health status, family history, and other risk factors. I recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for a comprehensive evaluation and tailored treatment plan.
