My mother is having high BP upto 180 and is feeling very uneasy and restless also from last 15-20 days
And from last 1.5 years ,she is taking oleanz plus due to nuero issue arisen after dengue cell down
Pl advice what to do next.

HTN, benign
SX â Often none, HA, n/v, seizure, visual, CP, SOB.
PE â Eyes (retinopathy), CV, Full.
BP Stage 1: > 140/90 (monotherapy).
BP Stage 2: > 160/100 (two meds).

DX â Standard Panel. CBC, CMP, Lipids, U/A w/ MAU, HbA1C, TSH/FT4, Vit D, PSA (if male). EKG, UDS, Renal U/S. if nec Echo, CXR (LVH), CT Head.

TX â Approach: Stage 1: HCTZ 12.5 to 50 mg orally once daily, OR Benazepril 10-40 mg orally once daily (Diabetic patient, inc MAU), OR Metoprolol 50 mg orally (regular-release) twice daily (if HR is high), OR Amlodipine 2.5 mg PO QD (older patient, PVD, CAD). depending on hr bp..wat u hv mentioned is nt complete information dere r two values in BP measurement u said just one.
