High bp, borderline high cholesterol
I am a 48 year old woman. I checked my BP at a friend's place and it was 140/93. Then I consulted a cardiologist. He put me on Ciplar LA 20 and Tryptomer. And asked me to moniter my bp twice a day and get lipid profile done and follow up after a week. My lipid profile: HDL Cholesterol 71, LDL 134 and Triglycerides 148. So I have borderline high cholesterol. When I visited after a week, I was asked to start Prolomet XL 25 for bp and Rosuvas 10 for cholesterol. I am asked to take the medicine for a month and get lipid profile done after a month again. I took prolomet xl 25 just once but started getting breathing issues. I'm thinking of discontinuing. Please tell me what to do.

Your blood pressure needs treatment. You can ask your doctor to switch to other better blood pressure medicine. For cholesterol, LDL of 134 does not warrant medicine, just adhere to healthy lifestyle.
