Hello, numbness following a low back ache mostly points towards a lumbar spine nerve Root compression. If associated with tingling or numbness warrants a diagnostic imaging with an X ray of spine and if required after a thorough physical examination , an MRI Lumbosacral Spine. Please consult a spine surgeon .
