2 mm is a small gap,if u feel ur teeth are not aligned properly u cn opt for braces treatment,if it's just the small gap that's making u worried u cn opt for filling or even ceramic caps or veneers which r less time consuming than braces treatment.
Next Steps
braces don't have any connection with eye sight.if it's something that's hurting to sight,do u think that  people all over the globe will go for braces treatment.
Health Tips
pls don't get any myths, speak with ur doctr regarding ur doubts and be confident.

2 mm gap is very minor...if the  gap is only in that particular area you can go with conservative restorative treatment instead of going for orthodontic or braces treatment just to close that gap...
Next Steps
visit a general dentist and he will suggest you options to close the gap like composite restoration or veneers....all these will make your teeth look natural as it was before...it is more affordable and long lasting vs ortho treatnent.

In the first place wake up before taking a treatment. Superstitious opinions should be fist dumped. They are the words of illiterate. First I tell you to consult a dentist. Your gap can be closed. There are many techniques and methods for correction. Filling, Capping, Braces , Veneers etc are there. But it depends for whom and what problems. All these depends only after mouth examination.. If you want an immediate opinion on the treatment plan then you may post a photograph of your condition and Practo Consult.
