Hernia for 66 years old
My father is 66 years old diabetic. He is suffering from Hernia and gall bladder stones . He has pain due to which he's unable to walk . Doctor has prescribed medicines and told us to go for surgery if there is too much pain . Shall we go for surgery or stay on medication as he's too old now. Please suggest. Is laparoscopic surgery less painful. Also his potty is not clear now in winter. Softovec isn't helping

Hello, I understand your concern. Whether to go for surgery or not, this depends upon the herniation and number, size of the gall stones. If the herniation is mild to moderate, medicines can help to some extent. But surely it will not put the herniation back. If currently, the patient is in acute pain or there is pain occasionally I would suggest you to take the following homoeopathic treatment for hernia and constipation. Rx, 1. Lycopodium 1M 3 powders, one powder each for 3 days after meal. 2. Bryonia 200 4 pills thrice daily for 1 month.
Next Steps
Get an ultrasound done for abdomen, pelvis and scrotum, if not done recently.
Health Tips
Have fibrous diet, like include leafy vegetables and fruits. Stay healthy and Stay positive.

Hello dear, if the gallstone is not obstructive & if the blood glucose levels are under control you can wait & try Homoeopathy medicines for the same if there is no immediate threat. Else you can go for laparoscopic removal of gallbladder & of course it’s painless as it’s done under anaesthesia. To know more & for any other concern you can call us or reach us online.

Hi if the gall stones are obstructed or possibility of getting obstructed then better go for surgery.Laproscopic surgery is less painful. Also if he is diabetic chances are the impacted stones may cause more infection.Hence with due risk(age diabetic ?cardiac status)surgery can be done . Do it in multispeciality hospital which has icu backup.
