Hepatitis b
Hi Doctor, I am pregnant for second time and gone through ANC test in which I was diagnosed with hepatitis b surface antigen positive. I was asked to test for anti hbc total (ab to hep B core ag) which came as non reactive. Then i was asked to take HbeAg which also came as negative. So again doctor is asking me to go for elica Test. How many more tests i have to take?I am not sure how i got infected . So I tested for my husband . For him hbsag is negative. Still i am hep b carrier ? What is the treatment i need to take ? Precautions for my family ?

If your LFTs and other parameters are normal, not to worry Start with medications for hep b If husband is vaccinated not to worry Transmission is mainly through blood or sexual route
