Hepatitis B positive
My husband have Hepatitis B positive and we have done HBV DNA QUANTITATIVE PCR TEST and the test result is HBV VIRAL DNA - HBV DETECTED, HBV VIRAL DNA LOAD - 32889 IU/ml ( 49334 copies/ml).
I would like to know about this result is this Acute or Chronic?

Hello mam, your husbands reports are suggestive of high number of hbv DNA copies for which treatment is advisable. It's most likely chronic. Hbv DNA above 20000 IU/ml requires treatment.
