Hepatitis B and married life
A male aged 29 suffering from chronic hepatitis B is going to get married. Please let me know whether there is any possibility or risk to transmit hepatitis to his wife and baby?? whether he can live his normal married life?? If yes please let me know whether he should take some precautions to safe his wife and children from such disease.

Yes there is POSSIBILITY of transmission of infection to wife and child. But this can be prevented to great extent with anti viral medicines. But it is essential that spouse should be made aware of the risks and decisions should be taken mutually.
