Ear discharge or any such symptom is not expected in such a small child. Please visit a pediatrician urgently. Check up is most important. Don't give any medicine by yourself. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic. It must be given under prescription only
A 1 and half month old with ear discharge must be examined in person urgently. Do not start Amoxicillin without proper evaluation — at this age even a simple ear infection can progress quickly.
Next Steps
Please visit your nearest pediatrician today. The doctor will examine the ear, baby condition and prescribe the correct medicine and dose based on the baby's weight.
If you need any further guidance, feel free to contact me on Practo.
Is the baby check up done and medication is advised? No experiments with small babies. Diagnosis is important. Ear discharge has dangerous complications.
I totally understand your concern. Before suggesting treatment, I would like to ask a few questions to ensure the correct management can be provided.

Yes it will help but Ear discharge at this young age is less common.Kindly follow strict hygiene while handling small newborn babies.and examine baby clinically by visiting doctor in person in clinic
Greetings
Amoxicillin treats bacterial ear infections, but you must never self-medicate.An infant under two months old requires immediate professional medical evaluation.Ear discharge indicates a possible eardrum tear.A pediatrician must personally determine the appropriate treatment based on weight and condition.Inappropriate antibiotic use can cause severe complications in young infants.Go to an emergency clinic immediately for a proper examination
Amoxicillin may help if the baby has a bacterial ear infection, but in a 1.5-month-old baby, ear discharge should not be treated without proper examination.
Next Steps
consult a pediatrician/ENT specialist as soon as possible for ear examination. Avoid putting any ear drops.
