Heart rate over 200
My father in law 67 now has suddnely got a heart rate over 200 he was a bit dizzy and having discomoft, after diagnosis immegiately it has been found the valves are over worked and pumping blood all together at the same time hence is there any long term effect or risk in furure? Or it can happen at times it is normal, please respond. What is the diagnosis then surgery?

HR of 200 is not a good sign. He should be evaluated with Echocardiography and Angiography if required. Please share the echocardiogram

Heart rate above 200 is not normal. It has to be evaluated and treated accordingly.Regarding valve issue,it is not clear what is the pathology.Depending on the reports, next treatment will vary
