A heart rate of 100+ (tachycardia) for long periods of time is bad. As it stresses the heart, increases oxygen demand and there is a demand supply mismatch. Increasing heart rate during physical exercise is normal but it should not be persistently over 100 for long periods of time. Best wishes.
